The Ministry of Industry and Information has released a guideline to facilitate the integration of the Internet and advanced manufacturing, aiming to realize the migration of more than one million industrial enterprises to the cloud by 2025, Caixin reported.
The guideline said the government will support the construction of a number of cross-sector national-level online platforms to cultivate more than 300,000 industrial apps by 2020.
Three to five internationally competitive platforms are set to be built by 2025, in order to help more than one million industrial enterprises move to the cloud.
With the cloud computing market growing in stature, the industrial internet has become a hot spot for IT and industrial enterprises to park their money.
Alibaba introduced an industrial Internet cloud last week. While Tencent and Huawei all have cloud computing products for the manufacturing industry.
