A 42-year-old Indonesian domestic worker was charged with one count of burglary at Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Apple Daily reports that the defendant, Sri Handayani, is accused of entering a flat in Park Avenue, a residential building in Kowloon’s Tai Kok Tsui, on September 22, with intent to steal.
The court heard that, at an earlier date, the defendant was asked by her employer to take a family member who lives in Park Avenue home. However, she did not return the key, instead keeping it to sneak back into the flat on September 22.
The defendant did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody. Headline Daily reports that the trial will be continued on December 18 pending further police investigations and legal advice.
The reports did not mention any loss caused by the burglary.

Cruz Mejasco Mariel never blame it for that,, even Philippines also do wrong,, no one is perfect
The problem is , some employers are so sensitive and insistent on their accusations. But regarding of treating their helpers, it’s so unfair. They treat them like a robbot with out feelings. When the helpers did a mistake accidentally, explanations are not accepted. It’s racism attitude. Helpers are human too just like you employers. Though on the other hand, if the accused is really guilty then fine, she will deserved a punishment that is if proven guilty.
we are they same dont ever say that???? actually pilipino dont understand indo are no english languages
please don’t be prejudice and generalized like that , it’s not about education or language , it’s about integrity , and every each person are different , whatever your nationality is ,
this kind of comments really offensive
if you think you are all educated enough , please be compassionate and keep your opinion to yourself

Lei J. Roni :I agree to you’re comment bro as far as I know where ever you can understand or not they will give them the interpreter so she /he can understand the deliberations.
not all indonesian ok ..just think before you comment … u r really no manner i think
i am a filipino but i hate ur comments.too judgemental and one sided.all nationalities have good and bad people.so it’s not fair to say that all indonesians are like that.coz some filipinos do that too..all nationalities have theft…the issue ion stealing s not about race.it is about personality of a person.so whatever reasons why do that let God judge them amd dont pin the blame to thier race.thats unfair
