A 42-year-old Indonesian domestic worker was charged with one count of burglary at Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Apple Daily reports that the defendant, Sri Handayani, is accused of entering a flat in Park Avenue, a residential building in Kowloon’s Tai Kok Tsui, on September 22, with intent to steal.
The court heard that, at an earlier date, the defendant was asked by her employer to take a family member who lives in Park Avenue home. However, she did not return the key, instead keeping it to sneak back into the flat on September 22.
The defendant did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody. Headline Daily reports that the trial will be continued on December 18 pending further police investigations and legal advice.
The reports did not mention any loss caused by the burglary.
Filipino or indonesian all is the same who like to steal or not that all in our self … So don’t bully one to another we All.same domestic helper and we stay here only for earn more money …. Not for bullying each other

How can they say burglary if they had given her the key and nothing was lost! I think there`s a set-up in this incident… Be careful people; God is watching us.

The employer must show evidence of any loss. This is the oroblem with the cruel employers, once the maid dont want them or they are not satisfy with the oerformance of the helper then they will give troubke to their maid. Why the employer did not ask to give back they or this is already their plan.

Had 2 Indon helpers before and yes they steal ! There’s something about them and stealing .

Was not a big issue if no lose because she didn’t mean to do so they are uneducated didnt know how to ecplain and defence so easily the judge dimsiss this case and sentence her 1 month later she will overstay i don’t think so she will go back to indonesia unless immigration send her back
So her fault is didnt give back the key
