A 38-year-old Filipina domestic worker was charged 0n Tuesday, at the Kwun Tong Magistrates’ Courts in Hong Kong’s Kowloon district, with one count of child abuse.

Apple Daily reports that the defendant, Gina Cannu Buduan, is accused of abusing a two-year-old girl in October this year at a flat in Tseung Kwan O, in the city’s New Territories.

The court heard that the woman’s female employer found red spots on her two-year-old daughter’s private parts. It is alleged that the domestic worker tried to put a vibrator on the girl’s private parts.

The defendant had worked in Hong Kong since 2016.

Oriental Daily reports that the judge postponed the trial until December 13 and ordered detailed medical reports from the prosecutor. The judge also rejected a bail application from the accused, who was remanded in custody. She was not asked to make a plea.
