Police are looking for a woman who allegedly drugged and robbed a man after they drank beer together in Wan Chai and on Deep Water Bay Beach on Hong Kong Island on Tuesday.
At 7am, a 48-year-old man reported to the police that he determined that he had lost valuables including an HK$40,000 (US$5,125) gold necklace and HK$3,000 and 3,000 yuan (US$450) in cash after he woke up on Deep Water Bay beach, Oriental Daily reported.
He suspected that he had been drugged and robbed by a Chinese woman he had met in the early hours on Tuesday.
The victim, a property agent, met a woman dressed in red in a pub on Lockhart Road in Wan Chai at 3am. The pair later bought a few cans of beer and took a taxi to Deep Water Bay for further drinking and chatting.
The man then fell asleep and, when he woke up, the woman had disappeared, as had his necklace and money, Headline Daily reported.
The man was unhurt but was sent to Ruttonjee Hospital for a medical checkup.
Police were looking for a woman aged around 40 to 50, about 150 centimeters tall, who had been wearing a red dress and red shoes at the time of the incident.
