A 62-year-old man was arrested for causing public nuisance after allegedly showing two girls a pornographic video at a coffee shop in Toa Payoh, Singapore, on Saturday evening.

At around 8:45pm, a single mother was dining with her two daughters, aged 15 and 10, at a coffee shop at Block 111 on Toa Payoh Lorong 1, Lianhe Wanbao (Singapore) reported on Tuesday. A man in his 60s was sitting near the trio.

In the middle of the meal, the younger daughter screamed, prompting the mother, who was sitting with her back to the man, to turn around. To her horror, the man was showing her girls a “lewd, obscene video” on his mobile phone.

The mother scolded the man, who reportedly suggested arrogantly that the woman should call the police if she thought it warranted.

Sure enough, police officers did show up, and arrested the man on suspicion of causing public nuisance. The investigation continues.

A netizen who knew the family personally shot and uploaded a video of the incident, which drew many furious online comments. One user claimed in the comments section of the video post that she and her maid had been indecently harassed by the same man, who exposed his private parts to them during a bus ride.
