A 26-year-old domestic worker was arrested on Tuesday for alleged abuse of a child in a flat in Yau Ma Tei in Kowloon.
A woman reported to police at 11pm that she suspected her maid had abused her three-year-old daughter in a flat on Tak Shing Street in Yau Ma Tei, the Oriental Daily reported.
The report did not say what country the maid comes from.
Police arrived and arrested the maid. The girl was sent to a hospital accompanied by her mother for a medical examination.
Apple Daily reported that the little girl told her mother that she was unhappy because the maid touched her private part.
Police classed the case as child abuse and officers are investigating the matter.
According to figures released by the Social Welfare Department, some 477 child abuse cases were reported in the first half of this year. Fifteen of these involved a caregiver as the abuser.

Since these employers are so concern about their kids private parts(NOT TO BE TOUCHED,IN ANY WAYS,EVEN NOT MALICIOUSLY),is it just right to say that,THEY(parents) should do it everytime themselves?

Oh my,I think or maybe the helper didnt expect that this kind of scenario will put her in vain…sometimes ksi di maiwasan n mhawakan mo private part nila,esp.youre resposible for taking him or her shower and changing diaper.To my fellow Nanny we must aware of this ksi di pla,ntin alam n minsan ang mga gnitong bagay ang magbigay stin ng khihiyan llo kong di mo man lng bnigyan ng malaysia.

when I bathed my 4 year old ward, I never touch her private parts.I hold her hand and let her clean herself. we domestic helpers should be more cautious about this issue. some employers are just picking a fight, or finding a reason to terminate the helper. though there are instances that child abuse are real, some kids would also try to lie to their parents to gain favor especially if they did something horrible and they want a scapegoat for their deed. I know because the girl I take care of is such a big liar in aa little girl’s body
