A woman and two foreign men were arrested on Monday on suspicion they were selling liquor without a license and working illegally in a restaurant in Mong Kok in Kowloon.
At 2pm, officers from Mong Kok police licensing office dressed as customers raided a restaurant on 638 Nathan Road in Mong Kok and arrested a 27-year-old woman of Nepalese origin for selling liquor without a license, the Oriental Daily reported.
A 50-year-old foreign man, whose identity was not confirmed, was arrested for letting a premises sell liquor without a license, selling liquor without a license and hiring an illegal worker.
A 20-year-old man with a Korean passport was also arrested for working illegally in the restaurant.
The woman was granted bail but has to report to police later this month while the two men were detained, HK01.com reported.
Police confiscated 486 bottles of beer, 42 cans of beer, 281 bottles of wine and 28 bottles of liquor worth HK$72,000 (US$9,202).
