A 40-year-old domestic worker shielded her employer’s four-year-old son from serious injury when they were hit by a driver backing up car in Hung Hom in Kowloon on Tuesday.
The maid, whose nationality was not disclosed by the police, and the boy surnamed Lau went out for lunch about noon. They walked to the intersection of Bulkeley and Ming On streets, when a private car on Bulkeley Street began backing up – without the driver being aware of the pair behind the car, Oriental Daily reported.
The maid immediately grabbed the boy and held him tight. Both were hit by the vehicle and fell on the ground before the 28-year-old driver surnamed Chow stopped his car.
The maid injured her legs but the boy was only scratched. Both were sent to hospital by ambulance.
Police arrived and investigated the accident. Chow passed a breath test for drugs or alcohol, Ta Kung Pao reported.
It is not known if police planned to charge the driver.
If the maid do good towards the employer, the news always disclosed the nationality. But if they did bad, they are shouting their country. Medias are biased

whats the identity or nationality of the Maid?. is the driver not responsible for his RECKLESS DRIVING?… THE RACE OF THE MAID WASN’T DISCLOSED BUT NEVER MENTION WHO THE MAID IS OR WHAT THE RACE OF THE SOCALLED MAID. IF SHE RAISE HER LIFE HER NAME OR RACE NEVER MENTION BUT IF THE MAID DONE EVEN A SIMPLE MISTAKE FLASHING HEADLINES ALL THE NEWSPAPERS EVEN A VERY SMALL DETAILS.

I would do the same if i am in that situation too…cos it’s my responsibility to look after him other wise it would be an offense for me..negligence…..and we came here for work but not to be threaten..hopefully it would be an eye opener for some stubborn employers treating thier helpers badly….
Dear employers you should love ❤️ your employee after all what you showed to them they will give it back to you our duty is to take care only but because of love we give it to you as an extra with out any payments
