The body of an Indonesian woman in her 30s was found lying in a pool of blood in bushes in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, Malaysia, on Wednesday morning. It was suggested that she had been beaten to death, as her face had sustained obvious, bloodstained injuries.
She was wearing an intact pair of dark blue jeans but her blue blouse and yellow vest were torn, China Press reported.
The victim’s body was discovered by a mowing worker at 10am in bushes behind a Honda car showroom.
A preliminary police investigation found that cash and valuables including a purse were still with the dead woman, yet no suspected murder weapons were found. Police believe she was beaten to death somewhere else before being dumped in the bushes.
The victim was most likely a migrant worker in the neighborhood, and police were appealing to the public including her friends or employers for further information.
Police were awaiting an autopsy report before launching an in-depth investigation, according to Sin Chew Daily (Malaysia).
