A Coimbatore court on Thursday extended the custody of Sukesh Chandrasekha, the alleged middleman in a bribery case, until August 17, according to PTI.
Delhi police arrested Chandrasekha for allegedly trying to bribe an Election Commission official on behalf of TTV Dhinakaran, an AIADMK leader.
Chandrasekha was brought to Coimbatore from New Delhi on Thursday in connection with a seven-year-old cheating case involving a kitchen equipment dealer.
Chandrasekha was then taken back to Tihar Jail in Delhi.
Charges were laid against Chandrasekha at the Coimbatore magisterial court on July 20.
