A 32-year-old Indonesian woman was sent to hospital with nose and neck injuries after she was allegedly injured by her compatriot boyfriend in Tsim Sha Tsui on Saturday.

At 3pm, the woman and her boyfriend were having a quarrel on the third floor of Chungking Mansions in Nathan Road, Oriental Daily reported. The man turned emotional during the quarrel. He pointed a sharp instrument at the woman and threatened her.

After stealing her necklace, which was worth around HK$5,000 (US$640) and beating her up, the man ran away.

The report did not mention whether the couple were tourists or locals.

The woman reported the incident to police. They listed it as a robbery case and were searching for the man.
