A 35-year-old knife-wielding Hong Kong man was arrested in Kennedy Town MTR station after he allegedly injured two commuters in Admiralty Station on Tuesday morning.
At about 8am, a Hong Kong man surnamed So, who was wearing a green jacket, got angry wen he was accidentally bumped by a 22-year-old local man surnamed Ng on a train, Apple Daily reported.
So demanded an apology but Ng refused. He kept chasing Ng, who got off in Admiralty, and scratched his neck and face.
A 27-year-old man surnamed Tam witnessed the incident and tried to separate the two men by pushing So away.
So was then seen taking out a Swiss army knife on the platform at Admiralty station. Tam had his shirt cut by the knife and sustained minor injury.
So then jumped into a train bound for Kennedy Town, but MTR staff followed him, Sing Pao reported.
Police officers equipped with shields arrested So at Kennedy Town Station for suspected fighting in a public place and common assault occasioning actual bodily harm, Oriental Daily reported.
Tam was also arrested for suspected fighting in a public place. Ng suffered injuries to his neck, face and chest and was sent to hospital.
