A 30-year-old Indonesian woman was sent to hospital with head injuries after she was allegedly injured by her boyfriend in Mong Kok in Kowloon early on Monday morning.
At around 2am, the woman and her 39-year-old Indian boyfriend, both asylum seekers, were having a quarrel in front of a convenience store at 175-185 Lai Chi Kok Road, Headline Daily reported. Frustrated by the conversation, the man punched the woman, whose head began bleeding, and ran away.
A 52-year-old worker at the convenience store called the police, who sent the woman to hospital. Her green shirt was stained with blood, Oriental Daily reported.
Police later arrested the man in the district for an alleged assault causing bodily harm. Mong Kok Police were looking into the case.
