The long-anticipated arrival of Amazon Prime services in Singapore is here, and users will now have access to two-hour delivery of thousands of products.
The foray into Southeast Asia will not be easy, though, even if the Singapore venture is a success. The fragmented market lacks the logistics and infrastructure available in Singapore, and Amazon will have to deal with stiff competition from Alibaba, which has already set up a presence in the region.
