A married Hong Kong man was sentenced to six weeks in jail in Eastern Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday after earlier admitting he took video up the skirt of a Filipino maid in 2016.
Sit Ka-bo had pleaded guilty on May 31 to one count of obtaining access to a computer with a view to dishonest gain for oneself or another.
The 38-year-old renovation worker used his smartphone to take video up the skirt of a 33-year-old Filipino domestic worker inside the lift of a residential building of Greenwood Terrace in Chai Wan on October 2, 2016.
He pleaded guilty two weeks ago, but blamed a lack of sex at home for committing the crime. He said he only had sex with his wife once every two months, and visiting porn sites or reading porn magazines did not help.

Several months before the incident, Sit had been serving a jail term for an indecent assault charge, Oriental Daily reported.
A psychological report showed that Sit, who had two previous indecent assault convictions, could repeat his crime in future although he regretted and felt shame for what he had done.
Magistrate Kenneth Chan Ping-chau said Sit had not opened himself totally to the psychologist.
Chan said the penalty should have a deterrent effect as the victim was scared by him in a lift where she could not run away, Apple Daily reported.
