A 21-year-old Hong Kong woman surnamed Tsang remained in critical condition after she was hit by a mini-bus in Cheung Hang Estate, on Hong Kong’s Tsing Yi Island on Monday afternoon.

At 2pm, Tsang stepped off a mini-bus on route 409K, at a bus stop on Liu To Road. She was immediately knocked some five meters out of the way by another mini-bus, with her head hitting the ground, Metro Daily reported on Tuesday.

The 69-year-old mini-bus driver, a substitute driver surnamed Tang, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, Apple Daily reported.

The woman was sent to Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung in New Territories. Sources said at one point her heart stopped beating. Police are investigating the case.
