Philippine Economic Zone Authority Director Charito Plaza told reporters on Wednesday that a US oil and gas firm is eyeing investments in the country worth US$4 billion.

Plaza said the firm is looking at onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities, with representatives expected to visit in July.

The official also cited Middle Eastern oil companies, the US halal food industry, and online money transfer firm PayOdd as being interested in potential investments.
