A man with an axe robbed a convenience store and took away HK$5,800 (US$745) in Cheung Sha Wan in Hong Kong’s Kowloon on Saturday.

At around 1am, the man, who had a one-foot long axe, entered a convenience store at Po Hei Court shopping mall on Shun Ning Road and demand two female shopkeepers give him money from two cash registers, Sing Tao Daily reported. He took the money and fled.

The whole incident, captured on closed circuit television footage, lasted for 76 seconds.

The police are looking for a Chinese man, 1.8 meters in height, who was wearing a cap and white pants and carried a black bag during the incident, Sing Tao Daily reported.  The police told Apple Daily the suspect could be the same person who robbed a convenience store with an axe in Tuen Mun five days previously.
