The Philippine defense department announced Thursday that South Korea will provide the archipelago nation with a Pohang-class anti-submarine warship this year in exchange for a token sum of US$100, reports PhilStar Global.
South Korea is the Philippines’ second largest source of military hardware, behind the US, and the announcement comes after Manila received two FA-50 light fighters from Seoul on Wednesday. Two more are expected to be delivered next month as part of a 12-aircraft deal.
