In an attempt to prevent maids from being exploited, the consulate generals of the Philippines and Indonesia, in Hong Kong, are to share blacklists of employers who have records of abusing their domestic workers.
Complaints against employers are usually filed by domestic helpers and their acquaintances, or by employment agencies or neighbours of the employer families, Ming Pao Daily reported, citing the Indonesian consul for manpower and labour, Iroh Baroroh. Five people are now on the blacklist due to cases related to abuse, sexual harassment or unpaid wages.
Two Hong Kong women said in the report that they had been barred from hiring maids by the Filipino and Indonesian consulate generals, respectively. They complained that it was too easy for maids to put their employers on the blacklists.
However, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Employment Agencies Association, Cheung Kit-man, said the consulates only blacklisted employers against whom there was ample evidence of abuse.

Your presence of mind helped you from that horrible employer.. she really wanted to set you up..Thanks God .. He is with You!
must report to immigration
Good news for bad employers I agree about it
I was also verbally abused by my ex-employer and terminated only 1 month working for her..it was and this is my first work as a Domestic Helper and have no idea what’s the entire Law in this Country so I was just CRYING and leaving my tears with no justice at all..how I wished to record her voice while yelling and screaming on me..but now I am too blessed to have an employer that GOD put me in..Prayer is soooo powerful..
Well-done
Because some employers are really pain in the backside. I know for one Chinese employers domestic helper have curfews during their day off and before they can have the day off they need to work first and when they came in at night, they are obliged to tidy up and washing the dishes.
thanks god.. goos job

Good Job
Sa mga may information po,anong Araw po BA open Ang immigration at Ano po Ang address?instead of going to consulate general of the Philippines,Mas Mabuti pa siguro Sa immigration directly ilapit Ang problema Ng kakilala KO,Sa Plilipinad Pina pirma Ng job order Ng agency Na no weekly off no holiday for two years,Ang Amo pa Ang humahawaK Ng passport..the she is asking for a day off for how many times pero Ang tigas ni employer..pls help me po Kung saan Pwedeng ilapit Ang problema nya, naawa Na Ako sa knya, lagi pa late Ang Tulog nya..at Ang aga gumigising..kahit 1am Na pinapa massage pa Ng among babae For 1hour,may time pa Na gumising Ng 5am para mgpa massage.dalawang Bata pa Inaalagaan nya,1year old and 3 years old..lumapit Sa consulate sinabihan lng Na pumirma Ka pala.
Some of the employers must be blacklisted because they are not following the law here in hongkong, specialy those who have not given a weekly off and holiday even if it is clearly stated in their law..I have known an employer and agency who are doing a wrong move, they are asking The Maid of what they said a job order which is stated that NO DAY OF AND NO HOLIDAY FOR TWO YEARS WHILE IN THE CONTRACT IT IS CLEARLY STATED THAT THE EMPLOYER MUST GIVE A WEEKLY OFF,..the sad thing is,the victim seek for a help in the CONSULATE GENERAL OF THE PHILIPPINES but she never gain a help because the person from the consulate is too busy on their cellphones, almost half an hour before she is entertained, upon stating the problem only the answer that she Recieved is."she cannot help".WHAT IS THE USE OF THE LAW TO IMPOSE IF IT IS NOT USEFUL FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE DIFINITELY NEEDED A HELP.
Ting Zhai bakit hindi kayo mgreklamo?wag nyo hayaan na abusuhin kayo dahil hindi yan matitigil hanggat tahimik lng kayo
गोर्खाली दिल they are not idiot, they’re cruel as if their helpers are not human
Same here
Ireport mu yan agad.. Bawal n bawal yn.. If pbbyaan mu n gnyan s huli ikw an kawawa if mi gwin yn s passport mu..
Kris Stone yes you hve the right to complain but before you complain make sure u have the evidence.. Pic your place where you sleep and the cctv.. Its good if you take pic capture the whole living room with cctv so its easy for them to understand your place in just one shot your problem solve..
The chairman of the hongkong employment agencies association said, that the consulates only blacklisted employers if they got an evidence of abuse. That’s very simple, if you don’t want to be blacklisted then, follow the law that the hongkong immigration has listed laws in the contract and dont be abusive kind of employer. Coz I have heard from my friends that their employers keep asking their helpers to work during their holidays and only can go out late in the afternoon. And some don’t provide foods for their helpers . So those employers like these, i think they need to be blacklisted.
Same here even its freezing i need to wash their car in an open car park
