An 11-year-old boy was arrested and released on bail early on Monday morning after he was accused of taking nude videos of a female classmate in Hong Kong.
The case emerged when the video, which was recorded in December last year, was being circulated on mobile phones.
The girl was forced to take the videos, RTHK reported, citing the city’s police. The boy will be charged for “access to a computer with criminal or dishonest intent” and has been granted bail.
The two primary six pupils both attend the same school in Ho Man Tin in Kowloon and are not in a relationship, the police said.
The video was taken last December and shared last month. It was brought to the school’s attention in February. On Sunday evening, the girl’s father reported the case to the police, who arrested the boy at his home in Ma On Shan in New Territories.
The Kowloon City district crime squad is investigating the case and is figuring out whether other nude videos were taken.
