Some 795 million people do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That’s about one in nine people on earth, according to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP).

Asia is the continent with the most hungry people, and accounts for two thirds of the total.
While the situation remains alarming, the prognosis by the Frederick S. Pardee Center for International Futures point at a positive future, with higher yields in agriculture and fewer hungry children.
