The European Union has raised concerns about China providing Russia with technology hardware or economic support to help it bypass sanctions imposed over its invasion of Ukraine.

The comments were made by EU officials after United States President Joe Biden met with his allies from NATO, the Group of Seven (G7) industrialized nations and the European Union (EU) in Brussels on Thursday.

A spokesperson for China’s Defense Ministry on Thursday accused the US of spreading disinformation about “China providing military support to Russia.” The spokesperson urged the US to stop its smear campaign against China and have some self-reflection of its “disgraceful role” – referring to the US supplying weapons to Ukraine to fight Russia.
