وعدت قطر بنشر نتائج التحقيقات الجارية حول شكاوى العاملين في إنشاءات ملاعب كأس العالم 2022، وذلك ردًا على انتقادات منظمات حقوقية من بينها منظمة «هيومن رايتس ووتش.»
وقال سيف بن أحمد آل ثاني، مدير مكتب الاتصال الحكومي، يوم الأربعاء، إن بلاده تحقق في الشكاوى وإنه «سوف تتم محاسبة المسؤولين إذا ثبت وجود مخالفة للقانون.»
وأضاف بن أحمد آل ثاني، في تغريدة على موقع تويتر ردًا على المديرة التنفيذية للشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا في منظمة «هيومن رايتس ووتش،» إن قطر ملتزمة بالتعديلات الأخيرة على قانون العمل.
وأضرب مئات العمال الوافدين في الدوحة عن العمل في الأسبوع الأول من الشهر الحالي، احتجاجًا على تهديدات بخفض الأجور.
وأصدرت منظمة «هيومن رايتس ووتش» بيانًا الأسبوع الماضي، تشير به للانتهاكات التي يتعرض لها العمال بقطر. وأشارت المنظمة أيضًا إلى تأخر تنفيذ الإصلاحات في قانون العمل.
وقال أحد العمال المشاركين في الإضراب – والبالغ عددهم حوالي 800 إلى ألف – للمنظمة الحقوقية إنهم رفضوا الذهاب إلى العمل يوم 5 أغسطس/آب 2019، بعدما تلقوا تهديدات من الإدارة بالترحيل إذا لم يقبلوا بالتوقيع على عقود جديدة تخفض من دخلهم.
ويعمل عشرات الآلاف من العمال الوافدين على قطر في مشروع إنشاء 9 ملاعب كرة قدم، وتطوير ثلاثة ملاعب، استعدادًا لإستقبال الدوحة لكأس العالم 2022.
وحذرت «هيومن رايتس ووتش» من أن الإصلاحات التي بدأت قطر في إدخالها على قانون العمل منذ أكتوبر/تشرين الأول 2017، «ليست كافية، ولم تنفذ بالكامل.»
وتشمل الإصلاحات فرض حد أدنى مؤقت للأجر، وصدور قرار بإنشاء لجان عمل مشتركة بالشركات التي توظف أكثر من 30 عاملا للتفاوض الجماعي، وإنشاء صندوق لدعم وتأمين العمال، وإنهاء شرط حصول أغلب العمال على تصريح خروج من صاحب العمل لمغادرة البلاد، وذلك بحسب المنظمة الحقوقية.
