Authorities in Kuwait have issued an arrest warrant for a police officer accused of raping a Filipina at Kuwait International Airport.
According to the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait, an arrest warrant was issued for 22-year-old Fayed Naser Hamad Alajmy, inquirer.net reported.
On June 4, 2018, Alajmy was assigned to assist the Filipina with the fingerprint scan registration procedure at the airport. He then abducted her and raped her.
The DFA was working closely with authorities in Kuwait through the Philippine Embassy and hoped for a quick arrest. The Philippine government also stated that they will do whatever they can to ensure justice is served.
