Two Indonesian and three Vietnamese women were arrested on Wednesday night at an unlicensed reflexology center in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, for allegedly providing illegal sex services.
At about 10:25 pm on June 5, officers from the Selangor Anti-Vice, Gaming and Secret Societies Division raided a premises on Jalan PJS 8/2, Dataran Mentari of Petaling Jaya, the China Press reported.
Five women in their 20s – two Indonesians and three Vietnamese – and a 30-year-old local man who worked as a guard were arrested.
Intelligence sources said the center had been run by a prostitution syndicate for a few months. The syndicate charged between 170 and 200 ringgit (US$40-48) per sexual transaction.
During the raid, officers also recovered a notebook with records of sexual transactions, mobile phones, five condoms and 525 ringgit (US$126) in cash, which were all confiscated as evidence.
All those arrested were taken to Sungai Way police station for further questioning.
