미국 정부가 자국 기업들이 중국 통신장비업체인 화웨이와 거래를 하지 못하게 막자 이에 맞서 1일 중국 상무부는 “비상업적 목적으로 중국 기업들에 대한 납품을 차단 내지 중단하는 모든 외국 기업들을 대상으로 신뢰할 수 없는 기업 명단을 만들겠다”고 말했다. 이는 화웨이 사태에 맞선 명백한 반격으로 풀이된다.
상무부는 다만 어떤 기업들이 블랙리스트 명단에 포함될지는 밝히지 않은 채 “조만간 구체적인 조치들이 발표될 것이다”라고만 말했다.
미국의 거래 제한 여파로 많은 다국적 기업들이 협력 중단 계획을 발표하자 화웨이는 적지 않은 타격을 받고 있다. 구글이 화웨이에 안드로이드폰 소프트웨어를 공급하지 않기로 발표하면서 세계적 이동통신사들이 잇따라 화웨이 휴대폰을 팔지 않겠다고 선언했다.
