A 17-year-old  in Nabua, Camarines Sur, the Philippines, was arrested and charged with raping his 19-year-old friend after a night of drinking.

The victim said she and the suspect were out drinking with other friends on Wednesday night. After she went home, the suspect allegedly followed her to her room, where he allegedly choked and raped her, GMA News reported. When she managed to scream loudly, the suspect reportedly fled. The victim, along with her parents, filed a report to the police, who arrested the suspect shortly after.

However the suspect denied the claim, saying that he went straight home after their night out drinking.

The suspect’s mother questioned the complaint that was filed against her son. She said her son wouldn’t do such a thing as he was only a minor.

If the suspect is found guilty, he may face a prison term of between six years and life imprisonment.
