A top Hong Kong analyst says investors should look at what is driving the Chinese economy and companies involved in sectors, such as those involved in semiconductors and Internet technology.
Speaking to Bloomberg TV, Capital Link chairman and CEO Brett McGonegal said big banks were always a good play.
But he advised: “Stick around the tech revolution going on in China. The [companies making] semiconductors that have been quite volatile lately but clearly they’re the big play about the next thematic we get, which is the whole 5G thing once we have some resolution in the trade talks, then we’re gonna go to 5G.”
Brett McGonegal is a principal investor in Asia Times.
