A Filipino man was found dead in a bathroom in Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Manila, the Philippines, on Sunday.
Richard Alexander Parenas, who was due to fly to Davao on that day, was found unconscious inside a cubicle in the men’s room, ABS-CBN News reported.
The Manila International Airport Authority said Parenas had checked in for his flight at 5:26 am. A janitor saw him enter the bathroom just after 6 am and he was not seen since. At 8:19 am, the airport’s medical team received an emergency call after Parenas was found.
The medical team said Parenas had no pulse and had died of cardio-respiratory arrest. Parenas was a doctor from Catanduanes and worked as a legal officer in the Viga District Hospital there. His body has been claimed by Veronica Funeral Homes and an investigation is being conducted into Parenas’ death.
