An American man who was arrested in Angeles City, the Philippines, for child pornography has been deported to the United States.

Gary James Dokulil, 40, who is wanted in Minnesota on suspicion of distributing child porn, was arrested at his residence in Angeles City in February. Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Jaime Morente said the US Embassy sought their help in locating Dokulil after an arrest warrant was issued by a District Court in Minnesota in January, The Guam Daily reported.

“He will be deported for posing a risk to public safety and security as his presence here presents a threat to our Filipino children, any one of whom could be his next victim,” Morente said.

After his arrest, Dokulil was deported to Guam, where he was arrested on Monday to face child pornography charges. Dokulil will remain in custody awaiting an identity hearing.

In April 2018, authorities found Dokulil was in possession of videos of sexual assaults on minors. The videos showed mostly young girls aged between four and 11 being sexually abused.
