A wild elephant caused a commotion in a town in Yunnan, China, on March 24 when it went for a wander around town.
The elephant went for a walk Meng’a town in Xishuangbanna Dai Prefecture, with videos of the scene surfacing online. The elephant wandered around for a little more than 30 minutes and was eventually led towards a forest area.
Local reports indicated that at least nine vehicles were damaged by the elephant. No casualties or injuries were reported. A local man was able to lure the elephant into an alley to prevent anyone getting hurt by the large animal.
According to local media, authorities were escorting the elephant towards Meng’a town when it decided to walk off.
