A Hong Kong man pleaded not guilty to five counts of indecent assault on his family’s Filipina domestic worker at the Kowloon City Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
The defendant Lau Sui-wo, 45, was charged with assaulting the 43-year-old Filipina at the family’s Laguna Verde apartment in Kowloon’s Hung Hom from July 31 to August 5 last year, Oriental Daily reported.
The victim, identified as X, said the defendant, a married man with two young children, exposed his private parts in front of her when she was working in the living room on July 30, and did the same the next day. On both occasions she ignored him.
From August 2 to 5, the defendant allegedly molested X by touching her breast and bottom in the kitchen when his wife was taking a shower. He also exposed his private parts and sneaked into X’s room and kissed her and indecently assaulted her.
The defendant sought assistance from her church on August 5. Letters were sent to the Labour Department and Immigration Department informing them of the incidents.
The case was transferred from the Immigration Department to the police and officers arrested the defendant on August 14.
The trial continues.
