Hong Kong police are investigating an Indonesian domestic worker after allegations that she she hit her elderly employer with a brick during a quarrel in Tai Po, the New Territories on Sunday.

At 10pm, a 74-year-old Hong Kong man called the police to his home on Ting Kok Road in Tai Po, news website HK01.com reported.

The man said that following a dispute with his domestic worker over her work, the Indonesian grabbed a brick and attacked him. She then used the brick to destroy the gate at the entrance to the house before running out.

The man suffered injuries to his hands and was sent to the Alice Ho Miu Ling Hospital for medical treatment.

No arrests have been made.

The police classed the case as assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage. Tai Po Police’s crime investigation unit is following up the case.
