曾經參加過2016團體世乒賽的中日混血少女浜本由惟（Hamamoto Yui），將代表奧地利參加5月國際乒聯斯洛文尼亞、克羅地亞兩站挑戰賽。
據日本《中文導報》報道，對於國際乒聯公佈的參賽陣容，日本乒乓球協會透露並不了解具體情況，相關人士一致表示非常驚訝。
浜本由惟1998年7月28日出生於大阪。浜本由惟的父親是一名日本前職業排球球員，母親楊菲曾是中國八一乒乓球隊隊員，退役後來到日本，曾獲得全日本高校聯賽女單第二名。浜本5歲開始接觸乒乓球，不僅母親是乒乓球選手，還曾師從旅居日本的奧運冠軍韋晴光。
2005年剛上小學一年級的浜本由惟就在日本「第9屆少年·少女單打乒乓球賽」小學生4年級以下男女2部獲得冠軍。
浜本先後獲得瑞典公開賽U21組冠軍和世界巡回賽總決賽U21組亞軍，之後又成功獲得了世乒賽的參賽權，同時也成為日本乒乓球隊為2020年東京奧運會儲備的後起之秀。
浜本由惟因其特殊的天賦和身份，早早就被日本奧委會選為2020年東京奧運會重點培養對象，幾年前她就已經開始在日本奧委會旗下的運動精英學校就讀。
2016年，17歲的浜本由惟代表日本隊參加團體世乒賽，獲得女團亞軍。2017年2月浜本世界排名曾到第16位，目前世界排名第89位。「內外兼備的乒乓球美少女！」日本媒體用這樣的字眼來稱讚她。
在打球之餘，浜本由惟還兼職模特，浜本由惟3歲開始學習芭蕾，從小學一年就就進入了夢舞株式會社（MAIMU PRO），她還曾出現在眾多綜藝節目和真人秀中擔任模特，曾在2017年上映的電影《戀愛回旋》出演一名大學生。
隨著日本女乒一批小將迅猛崛起，浜本由惟遇到了成長瓶頸。2017年底，浜本由惟在全日本選手權大會大阪地區選拔賽第三輪爆冷輸給了木村香純，作為國家隊隊員，她連2018年1月的日本全國錦標賽參賽資格都未能獲得。隨即浜本由惟報名了2018年1月的匈牙利公開賽，但女單首輪她就2-4輸給了俄羅斯的米哈伊洛娃。
去年福原愛宣佈退休時，濱本由惟被點名接班，她當時說：「福原愛一直盡力推動日本桌球，我很尊敬她，希望延續她所留下的東西！」
由於職業巡回賽即使未取得國籍也可以參賽，所以浜本是否有改換奧地利國籍的意向尚不明朗。根據國際乒聯的相關規定，對於改換國籍的選手參加奧運會或世錦賽是有一定時間限制的。
