أعلنت حكومة الإمارات إطلاق وزارة جديد لل«لامستحيل» لتضاف لترسانة الحكومة الإماراتية من الوزارات غير التقليدية بعد«وزارة السعادة» و«وزارة التسامح».
وصفت الحكومة الوزارة الجديدة بال«إفتراضية »وهي بلا وزير ويتولى إدارتها مجلس الوزراء، بحسب وكالة أنباء الإمارات. تنوعت ردود الفعل على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي بين الثناء والسخرية واتهام حكومة الإمارات بمحاولة صرف الانتباه عن المشاكل الحقيقية في الإمارات.
تتضمن مهام الوزارة الجديدة تطوير نظام يكافيء السلوكيات الإيجابية في المجتمع عن طريق منح المواطنين الملتزمين بقائمة سلوكيات تحددها الوزارة نقاط يمكن الإستفادة منها في في دفع رسوم الخدمات الحكومية.
كما كلفت الحكومة الوزارة الجديدة باكتشاف وتنمية مهارات المواطنين.
كانت حكومة الإمارات أطلقت وزارة للسعادة في 2017 من ضمن مهامها «ترسيخ قيم الإيجابية والسعادة، باعتبارها أسلوب حياة في مجتمع دولة الإمارات»، كما أطلقت وزارة للتسامح في 2016 ل«ترسيخ قيم التسامح، والتعددية، والقبول بالآخر، فكرياً وثقافياً وطائفياً ودينياً».
تواجه الإمارات انتقادات بسبب قمع حرية الرأي ومشاركتها في قصف المدنيين في اليمن من خلال مشاركتها في التحالف الدولي بقيادة السعودية الذي يدعم الحكومة المعترف بها دولياً ضد الحوثيين.
