Wang Zuji may soon retire from his positions in China Construction Bank as vice-chairman, executive director and president. According to insiders, the current deputy mayor of Chongqing, Liu Guiping is a promising candidate to take over.
CCB will hold an internal meeting on March 20 to announce the retirement of 61-year-old Wang Zuji, sina.com reported, citing several unnamed sources.
Wang served senior roles in banks, financial regulatory authorities and local governments, the report said. He was appointed vice-chairman, executive director and president of CCB in July 2015.
The report said 53-year-old Liu Guiping is presently deputy mayor of Chongqing. He has more than 25 years experience in the banking system and has served several management roles.
