A 32-year-old domestic worker from Indonesia was found dead after falling from a residential building in North Point on Hong Kong Island on Saturday.

At about noon, Titin was found lying on the podium of Hong Shing Court of Healthy Village in North Point after falling from a kitchen window at her employer’s apartment on the 26th floor, Oriental Daily reported.

The 59-year-old female employer called police. When paramedics arrived at the scene, the worker was pronounced dead. Police did not find a suicide note. They discovered a chair in the kitchen and believe the woman climbed over the kitchen window and committed suicide.

The domestic worker arrived in Hong Kong three and a half years ago to take care of the employer and the employer’s mother. Chow said Titin was hardworking and they had a good relationship. She believed the worker did not have any financial problems.

However, she had been unhappy recently because she broke up with her British boyfriend. The worker prepared lunch for the employer and her mother before ending her life on Saturday. After an initial investigation, police ruled out any foul play.
