CCTV footage captured the moment when a cyclist in India was attacked by a two-meter cobra as he cycled past with a passenger.

The footage was captured at around 3:50pm on February 9 on a road in the state of Telangana, the Mirror reported. The spectacled cobra can be seen springing at the bicycle before getting tangled in the bike’s wheel.

The two men bolted in fear while the snake freed itself from the wheel. No one is reported to have been injured in the incident.

Spectacled cobras—also known as Indian cobras—are one of the four key snakes that are responsible for the most snakebite cases in India. They are highly venomous and mainly feed on rodents such as rats and mice.
