Police are searching for an armed man who robbed a Filipina in broad daylight in Wanchai on Sunday.
At 1 pm, the victim, a 52-year-old Filipina and her 65-year-old friend, went to an ATM on Tin Lok Lane in Wanchai and withdrew HK$6,000 (US$740), the Oriental Daily reported.
A man then approached from behind and threatened the woman with a knife before pushing her on the floor and running away with the money. She later reported the case to police. Police arrived and searched the area but no arrest was made.
The woman injured her fingers when she fell down and was sent to a hospital for treatment. Officers were checking surveillance camera footage from the bank and searching for a local man 1.6 meters tall, of thin build and in black shirt and pants.
