A bus drove into a funeral procession in Vietnam on Wednesday, killing a total of seven people. Four were pronounced dead at the scene and three others later succumbed to their injuries in hospital.
At about 5 am on March 27, the bus ran over about a dozen people at an intersection in Yen Lac in Vinh Phuc province, the VN Express reported. The group of people were reportedly heading to a funeral.
Witnesses said it was misty when the accident happened, which may have caused the accident. Authorities were investigating. Traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of deaths in Vietnam. According to official statistics, one person is killed in a traffic accident almost every hour.
