A bride and groom in Indonesia fell into a river after a wedding stage built above it collapsed, turning a wonderful day into a chaotic one.
On February 9, a stage built for a wedding party in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, collapsed into the river, with the incident captured on video, The Jakarta Post reported. The one minute, 19-second video made the rounds on a messaging app.
Guests can be seen trying to get out of the river after the fall. The bride and groom emerged from the river seconds later, with the bride smiling as guests showed their concern after her fall.
According to Jupan Royter, the head of the Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency, no casualties were reported in the case. He also advised citizens to not set up stages above a river in a bid to prevent similar cases from happening.
