Last week, the current holder of the title Miss Universe Vietnam attended a youth congress in the Philippines as a guest of honor. H’hen Nie was a guest of honor at the National Youth Congress held by the Francis Padua Papica Foundation in Naga City on February 2, Rappler reported.
The event was attended by more than 12,000 students from all over the Bicol area. The pageant queen met with students and urged them to not give up on their dreams and to believe in themselves.
During her trip, she was accompanied by her coach Anjo Santos, who hails from the Philippines. Nie then met with the 4th runner-up of the Miss Universe 2010 contest Venus Raj, who was also coached by Santos. The two then did a photo shoot wearing traditional Filipiniana gowns.
Nie’s journey touched many hearts and made her a fan favorite in the Miss Universe Vietnam 2018 contest, where she finished in the top five.
