A man in Jiangsu, China went on a killing spree that took ten lives after he suspected his wife had been cheating on him.
At around 2am on February 5, the first day of the Lunar New Year, 49-year-old Kwok drove into a village in Baiyin city, where he reportedly started fires and stabbed people randomly, Beijing Youth Daily reported.
As of February 7, the incident had reportedly led to 10 deaths, with five others in critical condition.
An online post from one villager stated that the eldest victim was 70 years old and the youngest was only three. After killing ten people in two different villages, Kwok reportedly continued his rampage by setting a house and a supermarket building on fire.
At around 6am on the same day, Kwok was arrested by the police. Kwok confessed that he suspected infidelity from his wife, which he said drove him to the edge and led to his actions.
Baiyin city is known for the serial killings of Gao Chengyong, who was dubbed “China’s Jack the Ripper.” Gao reportedly killed 11 women between 1988 and 2002.
