Wang Haonan, the boy who was dubbed “the fattest in China” has lost 142 kilograms on his journey to get back in shape.

Wang, who stood at 181cm tall and initially weighed 334 kilograms, was admitted to hospital on May 29, 2018, and given the goal of reaching a body weight of 200 kilograms. After surgery to reduce the size of his stomach, he was sent home to embark on a weight-loss plan.

Around six months later, Wang returned for a follow-up. Now tipping the scales at 192 kilograms, he had lost 142 kilograms of body weight, grown two centimeters in height and seen his shoe size shrink. His skin condition had also improved considerably.

By following an “All veggies, no meat” diet, Wang even lost more than 3 kilograms during the Lunar New Year alone.

Wong, who comes from Jinan, Shandong, says his goal now is to reach 100 kilograms by the end of the year. He also said that if he succeeds, he will fulfill his dream of riding a motorcycle.
