A six-year-old Filipino girl advanced to the next round of Asia’s Got Talent Season Three after wowing the judges and crowd with her cheerleading stunts.
Zianne Angierein Garcia, also known as Zeexhie, became an Internet sensation when she was a toddler for stunts that she performs with her father, who is a choreographer, Philippine Star reported.
During the pilot episode of Asia’s Got Talent that aired on February 7, the young cheerleader wowed the judges and crowd as she performed stunts alongside her father. She progressed to the next round of the competition after impressing judges Anggun, Jay Park and David Foster.
Garcia was previously a contestant at a Philippine talent competition for children, “Hype Kang Bata Ka”. She was one of five finalists at last year’s competition but did not win. She also appeared at Little Big Shots Philippines in 2017 when she was four years old.
She was not the only Filipino act to progress to the next round of Asia’s Got Talent. Teen singing duo HK Sisters, who are daughters of a Filipino seafarer, said if they win the competition, they get to spend more time with their father. Prior to Asia’s Got Talent, the two sisters won awards at the World Championships of Performing Arts as individuals and as a duo.
Junior Good Vibes, a 15-member dance crew from Sampaloc, Manila, also made it through to the next round and will have a chance to win a grand prize of US$100,000 at this year’s season finale.
The Philippines’ shadow play group El Gamma Penumbra and Indonesian magician The Sacred Riana won the first and second seasons of Asia’s Got Talent respectively.
