A pair of Chinese men were caught trying to steal data from two ATMs in Vietnam by fixing bogus electronic components to the machines.

On February 19, police in the Lang Son Province caught the two Chinese men, aged 32 and 30, with two electronic circuits, three camera lenses, two USBs, a memory card and two bank cards, VN Express reported.

When police raided their residence in the Van Lang District, 11 bank cards, nine of them fake, were found. Among other items found were electronic devices used for making fake bank cards and stealing data.

The duo confessed that they had entered the country illegally in January to steal data from ATMs and forge fake bank cards. One of the two men is also reportedly wanted by police in China for stealing property using high tech methods.
