A woman visiting the Cape West area in South Africa got the scare of her life when she found a cobra in her denim jacket.
The tourist, only identified by her Twitter handle @stripper_oprah, was packing her bags when she picked up her denim jacket and a large cape cobra fell to the floor, Cape Town ETC reported.
She immediately called the Langebaan Snake Rescue for help, who sent experts Stefan Cronje and Shaun Kruger to the scene. The woman shared a video showing the snake catchers in action on her Twitter account.
Local media spoke to the woman, who said she is usually mellow with snakes but that this one left her shaking. As for the snake catchers, they said the reptile showed no signs of aggression and was relatively calm.
The two snake professionals also reportedly rescued another Cape Cobra elsewhere on the same day. Cape Cobras are highly venomous snakes which can grow to up to 1.6 meters long. They are common around the southern tip of Africa.
