Workers on a farm in Thailand were given a slithering shock when an enormous python showed up from below ground and entered the field. On January 14, the 4-meter-long python was said to have “slithered out from the undergrowth” on a field in Chonburi, eastern Thailand, East Coast Radio reported.

A snake rescue team was called by witnesses. The snake was retrieved by the team, who secured it in a sack and released it somewhere far away from the farm.

The python is a non-venomous snake that is commonly found in Africa, Australia and Asia. It uses constriction to hunt and consume prey.
